Hammonton Swim Team

I have been very, very bad and procrastinated even more then I expected. I am sorry that I have let all of you hanging for so long. But on the up-side, I have a wealth of new photographs to share.

The first is a group of photographs of the Hammonton Stingrays. We enjoyed photographing this team. It was a hot summer day, and I mean hot. I kind of wish I had gone swimming with the team after the photographs. We did individual portraits followed by the large group portrait. Just look at them! They are the bright, young faces of champions!!

Congratulations to St. Joseph Parish Confirmande

I just wanted to congratulate all the individuals who received Confirmation on June 5th at St. Joseph Parish in Hammonton, NJ. It was a beautiful, sunny day. The Bishop was there and confirmed them all. It was a wonderful ceremony. Here are a few photographs from the day.

We were very happy to be able to take some family photographs after the Masses and to be a part of this special day.

Gibraltar

Gibraltar in Delaware is a beautiful estate. In 1844, John Rodney Brincklé built Gibraltar, living there until he sold to the Sharp family in 1909. Marian Coffin was hired by the Sharps to create and landscape the wonderful grounds based on the culture they remembered from their travels in Europe. She worked between 1916 and 1923 to complete the gardens. Which have since been restored.

We went seeking out the lovely garden and different environment to photograph the lovely model, Patience. While it was a cool day, it still proved to be pleasant enough to be photographing. The different textures provided interesting backgrounds and foregrounds for the images of Patience. The gardens are kept up and remain as beautiful as they were in their prime. I have heard that parties are hosted still in the gardens. Where English style lawns are paired with the Italian style garden pavilion. Though the house remains a definite project to whomever owns the property, I hope that one day the house itself is restored to its once known glory just as the garden has been restored.

Weymouth Furnace

Weymouth Forge/Furnace is now in ruins, partly even fenced off from public access. Most of it though is out in the open to climb around and photograph from the best vantage point one can find. The largest structure I believe is directly where the main furnace was, it appears to be a large chimney. There is a wooden bridge crossing the somewhat dried up tributary for ease of access to both sides of the Forge/Furnace. The Egg Harbor River is right there and is part of the main route for canoeing. This is a place that easily overwhelms the senses with the many different textures, between the rock, brick, water, grasses, mud, and trees.

My assistant and I wanted to share these photographs with you. We hope you enjoy them as much as we enjoyed taking them.

October 31, 2009. Halloween. A holiday loved by children and adults alike. But this year, Halloween wasn’t just about Trick or Treating, costumes, ghosts, and goblins, it was the date that Robert and Katie got married.

We had a blast the whole day. They got dressed in Ocean City by the ocean so we did the formal portraits right on the beach.

Their reception wasn’t your typical reception, it was a costume party! The bride and groom went as Gomez and Morticia from the Adams Family. Everyone really seemed to have a great time.

Looking remarkable in a strapless gown, the bride was as beautiful as a bride could be.

The couple hired an antique Rolls Royce to drive the bride to the ceremony and then the bride and groom to the reception.

It was a unique touch and provided the opportunity for some beautiful and some plain fun photographs. The reception was held at The Merion in Cinnaminson, thus creating the setting of elegance for the bride and grooms formal photographs. The couple as well as the guests, and my associate and I enjoyed absolutely everything!

The Carriage House is a spectacular place for a wedding. I shot my first wedding their this summer and loved it. They have one attendant dedicated to helping make sure everything runs smoothly and mainly there just for the bride. This woman is fantastic! Besides the friendly staff and beautiful grounds, the bride and groom were a match made in heaven. The bride could not have been lovelier than Cinderella and the groom was as charming as well…Prince Charming. The portraits of both were so easy to take, it’s hard to mess up perfection. The bride and groom were so lucky, a storm was minutes away as we were trying to squeeze in all their formals. As we were shooting the formals of just the two of them, thunderheads crossed the sky overhead and created the most amazing scene for by far my favorite photograph of the entire wedding. It is featured on the first slideshow of my website. As you can tell, it was my favorite. *wink

I must add the couple’s son was a little cutie too. He “hammed” it up in front of the camera a few times. When we got to the cake cutting portion of the reception the bride and groom had a cake made for their son. It was his first birthday. Let me tell you, he enjoyed that cake probably more than he enjoyed the entire day and all the attention he received. The picture will tell it all.

The Inn at Montchanin Village

I am thrilled to have been given the oppotunity to photograph the Inn at Montchanin Village in Montchanin, Delaware. We concentrated our efforts in the Spa. It is a clean, homey, wonderfully relaxing atmosphere.

I had one female model who was lucky enough to get a small sampling of a facial and then hot stone massage. I was jealous. The second model was the masseuse for these services. I must say both ladies were so patient and easy to work with.

After photographing the Spa, the chef prepared some of his signature dishes for me to photograph. By the way they looked and smelled, the food is as amazing as the ambiance and atmosphere of the Inn itself.
